“To her a cardinal was a sign of the
Holy Spirit. I remember after she fell on the concrete, we were praying
around the altar and a red bird landed on the window sill of the chapel.” |
| “When she was in Ross Hall, I
would take her outside in her wheelchair and she’d tell me stories about
when she was a young teacher. She said she always followed the rule,
“Don’t ever let the kids know that you don’t have a clue. Don’t let
your weakness show. Show your strength.” |

“The first time we brought
the Bethlehem light of peace to Sanctuary of Hope, Sister and Leah had
been out mailing a package and Sister was so worried they wouldn’t get back
in time to meet the light. She was so full of life and love--so much
energy.” |

picture will be hung somewhere here at Sanctuary of Hope. She told us
all,
over and over, 'Be the love that you are.' ” |
