NBC's Brett Anthony is 2010 Honorary Chairman
11th Annunal Run the Good Race

Sanctuary of Hope is proud to announce that NBC Action News meteorologist Brett Anthony will be this year's honorary chairman for the 11th Annual Sanctuary of Hope's Run the Good Race on June 19th, 2010.

Brett's has been with NBC Action News as the morning and midday meteorologist since 2002.  He's been forecasting weather around the country for more than 20 years, most of that time spent in Missouri. He has worked in Joplin, Springfield, and Cape Girardeau. and also got hand experience forecasting lake effect snow in Cleveland, Ohio.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Brett majored in meteorology. He also holds a degree in Broadcasting from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Brett holds the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval, as well as the National Weather Association's Seal of Approval.

Unlike his counterpart Gary Lezak, Brett is a cat person. He and his wife of 17 years, Sherri, have two cats, Parker, the black and white tabby and Whiskers, a grey rescue cat from Wayside Waifs. When he doesn't have his head in the clouds, Brett enjoys running.  He has completed the Kansas City marathon twice, finishing the the 2008 race in 4 hours and 50 minutes.

Brett will be speaking about our race on a noon broadcast and tweeting about his preparations for the event, and doing a raceday forecast prior to the event.  Be sure to catch NBC Action News at 11 a.m. weekdays.
