Sanctuary of Hope seeks to provide a conveniently located place of prayer and retreat for the people of Kansas City. We especially try to serve those members of the inner city who, without transportation or adequate financial resources, cannot even dream of a time away from the daily craziness of life. Many of us take vacations or time away from the daily routine to help us maintain our physical, emotional and spiritual health. Unfortunately, there are many who cannot or do not know how to take even a small portion of a day to be still and know God. We humbly seek to provide a place and a time to allow people of all backgrounds and faiths to do this. If those we touch can learn to hear God’s voice here, and learn and know how to listen to God in their lives, think of the peace and love that they will carry with them and share with family and friends. It is our mission, this to make holy ground wherever those who are learning to know God stand and walk, that leads us to ask for your help in meeting the capital needs of Sanctuary of Hope. With facilities that can be relied on to be secure , safe, and protected from the elements, our staff and guests can better focus on the need to know and nurture their relationships with God and each other.
