TUESDAYS FOR PASTORS

Sanctuary of Hope, a Prayer and Retreat Center in the midst of Kansas City, Kansas, would like to become your "mountain," your place to follow Jesus' example of quietness and prayer.

Sanctuary realizes another portion of our calling--to offer to the pastors of this city a sacred time, weekly,  to connect with each other, to reconnect to God, and to be refreshed with the Holy Spirit.  We are calling this ongoing service: "TUESDAYS FOR PASTORS."

 You are invited, on each or any Tuesday, to come to Sanctuary of Hope, 2601 Ridge, Kansas City, KS, and to fashion a time for yourself that will nourish your own soul. 

This time includes not only worship, but meals and the opportunity for an overnight stay in one of our simply and tastefully furnished private retreat rooms if you wish.  In the Tuesdays after that, you may come and go as you wish.  At any time, by calling ahead, you may stay overnight and/or join us for meals. 

TUESDAYS FOR PASTORS

 You are cordially invited to return any Tuesday after 3:00 p.m. and avail yourself of the grounds and facilities of Sanctuary of Hope.   You are welcome at any time! 
 
TUESDAYS FOR PASTORS, however, will be set aside especially for pastors.  You may want to come with a prayer companion or companions, or you may want to come alone.  You may wish to invite other pastors so that you can spend some of the time supporting one another.  These Tuesdays are your time to "come up on the mountain and pray."  Our privilege will be to offer our sanctuary and our hospitality to you as a part of our calling and mission.

 How easy it is for us who are pastors to strive to follow the example of Jesus, except for taking the quiet and reflective time out to reconnect our souls with God! We honor Him with our words and our deeds, our lives totally devoted to good news and grace.  We give Him our highest and best.  Yet, when we fall into bed at night, tired, breathing the prayer just before consciousness slips into sleep, we have missed the most precious, the most needful thing we can do in our ministries as pastors and leaders of our flocks--to take time apart from the busy world, to find our own holy mountain, and to pray into fuller and richer being the bonds that we have with our God--the bonds that first called us to our ministries.

COSTS

 This first session is without cost, so you can come and enjoy the peace and solitude and companionship of God at this "mountain."

 If you come on Tuesdays, there is no charge for your time here.  Should you wish to stay overnight or partake of meals, we ask that you call ahead and make a reservation at least two days in advance.  There will be no charge for the meals and facilities, but you are invited to share a free will offering.
