My Dear Friends,

I just wanted to ask your HELP, PRAYERS and any assistance you are able to give for a new Religious Community of Sisters. They have been officially received into our Archdiocese by Archbishop Naumann and are working closely with a brother member, Fr. Anthony Ouellette. They are called the Little Sisters of the Lamb, from France. They do speak English and a couple of them are learning it, but their main language is French with Spanish as a back up language. They have just arrived in the United States. They are presently staying with us at Sanctuary of Hope. They are moving into their new residence this Friday, May 30th! Only three sisters will remain here, the other 6 members will return to France soon.

The major problem is that they are moving into an old rectory, which use to be called St. Benedict's in KCKS. It is located near 10th and Central Ave., the street they are on is Boeke, just a couple blocks East of 10th St.to Boeke, then turn South. You can't miss the building. It stands out. There use to be a Church beside it, but that was taken downs years ago.

Well, the former rectory is in terrible shape. It needs cleaning of the carpets, the kitchen only has a sink and a cabinet. The bathrooms need to be repaired, the windows are in poor shape. This community of Sisters just begs for everything. Well, at this point, in order to move into this building they need everything. We are trying to help them as best as we can. Also the parish of All Saints, in which they reside, are now there trying to help them repair the inside rooms. It is a large rectory. They can use some ladders, ceiling fans and light kits, appliances, simple furniture (not ornate), coverings for the windows, windows repaired and put into working order.

So would you please, at least, spread the word, and see if others might help out as well. I believe if we could get a little army of volunteers, like Home Makeover, this task could be accomplished.

I tell the Sisters that I am praying and so are many others that this miracle of transformation for them will happen. The theme of this whole project is: "Poco a Poco," Little by Little.

The Sisters just want to live among the people and make friendships with them and encourage the people in their faith and in their struggling lives. They are a real blessing to us and our archdiocese, our whole community!

I know whatever you can do: pray, help out in some way, volunteer, send emails to others, send materials...all would be deeply and greatly appreciated.
